The Nelson Social Studies 5 Activity Cards offer easy-to-implement and engaging activities, featuring age-appropriate inquiry strategies, and map, globe, and graphing skills. The Activity Cards encourage purposeful talk and offer opportunities for students to respond to their learning through writing, creating, and role-playing, while supporting and extending the skills they have learned through the First Nations and European Explorers and Canadian Government and Citizenship Student Books. The Activity cards are designed to be used individually, in pairs, or in small groups, so students can collaborate to complete the activities on the back of each card.
