Like wise, I hope to render this edition more useful by adding a table of contents of the two volumes that are now before the public. I omitted to do so when editing the first volume, because I supposed that the very exact statements given by Chaupdappa in his Prayogaratnamfilfi, (and printed in Dr. Burnell's Classified Index p. 17 a) would be a sufficient help in this direction. But since I have been taught better by Dr. L. Von Schroeder in his kind and instructive review of the first volume (literaturblatt fiir orientalische Philo logie, I, p.
