Kimono 3 is the third level of a comprehensive, communicative Japanese course. This full-color text set in Japan provides a wide range of communicative activities combined with a systematic study of the language. In Kimono 3, Japanese language and culture are presented in a fully integrated way, principally through photo-stories which provide a graphic portrayal of the everyday lives of five Japanese teenagers. Kimono 3 builds on students' increased level of language competency with the introduction of Japanese plain style speech and the accompanying distinctions between written and spoken Japanese, informal and polite speech, and male and female speech. - Back cover.
