<p> <i>Word Without End</i> advocates a canonical approach to biblical interpretation, one that does not allow the New Testament to eclipse the interpretation of the Old Testament. In so doing, Seitz directly challenges the way in which the Old Testament is currently being read and taught in theological seminaries. By attending to "theology," "exegesis," and "practice"--the three divisions of the book--Seitz models a reading of the Old Testament as Scripture that lays out a theological foundation for the life of the church.</p>
