This book is focused on a very important global issue of concern i.e., increasing environmental pollutants. These have adverse effect on human beings as well as Plants. Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) are posing serious problems to plants resulting in decreased crop yields. They interfere with plant metabolic processes and inhibit their growth and development. They are able to enter the plants through air and soil both. They inhibit photosynthesis as well as nutrient uptake mechanisms in plants resulting in several disorders. There is a serious need to understand the types and deleterious effects of such pollutants on plants. This book provides a comprehensive and updated information based on recent researches.
