Author Description

The poems in this collection range from exotic to ordinary--from encounters with a rabid dog, a cobra, a cremation in India, to childhood memories and the vicissitudes of life with dogs. Rich in sensory detail, the poems are evocative, thoughtful, accessible--and sometimes humorous, despite the ever-present image of the crows. They reach out to embrace all that life has to offer in the certainty that darkness is only the other face of light.
