Author Description

Hospital Medicine takes readers through my life as it relates to medicine from the admittance to the discharging process. I’m a Family Nurse Practitioner and have been in medicine for over 11 years. In the midst of writing this book, it made me realize while practicing medicine and coming up with treatment plans for my patients, I was in desperate need of medical treatment, requiring inpatient stabilization from different areas of Medicine, including the ER, Rehab, Physical Therapy, Wound care, and Detox. While often patients look to medical professionals for saving, we are often the ones that need to be saved. It’s time to normalize that healthcare workers deal with debilitating experiences, without being judged or held at a higher standard than anyone else!
