Custer in Photographs is a definitive study that identifies and investigates all of the well known and many recently discovered photographs of General George Armstrong Custer--The youngest Union general ever to fight in the Civil War and the most photographed man of his time. At no time during the history of photography has there been such an undertaking to collect and evaluate the tremendous number of images that were taken of Custer.
