Called by the President of Transniger -- a dusty country on the southern border of the Sahara -- to investigate a rash of murders, Quarshie finds that the victims were all unlikely candidates for murder. A ten-year-old Dutch girl; an eccentric American missionary; a Russian cultural attaché.
