Author Description

For an exhibition at Helmhaus Zrich, Swiss artist Mario Sala created a walk-through, slide-projected narrative with the museum itself as the setting. Using 270 slides he took of the structure, he manipulated the images under a stereo microscope using scalpels and toothpicks, watercolors, colored foil and adhesive. This book, a bibliophile's dream from award-winning Zürich graphic-design duo NORM, makes the haunting photographs shine.
