Tiré du site Internet de Walther König: ""Why the lion roars" is an artist's book based on a composition of films that communicate through a feeling for temperature. The artist composed a list of 57 classic feature films, and assigned each one a degree of temperature between -11 and +45 degrees Celsius. A thermometer outside the cinema or museum continuously measures the temperature and simultaneously edits the film program. When the outdoor temperature changes, the program is interrupted, the film corresponding to the new temperature starting from where the weather left it last, provoking unplanned collisions of meaning. As such, the local weather becomes the editor of the daily film program. The book is made up of 365 film programs and the local weather forecast for each corresponding day of the installations run in Paris. Each film has also been given a colour, which highlights its title in the book, creating an almost infinite flow of colours between warm and cold."
