Author Description

Follows the adventures of Mac, a Canadian volunteer in the US Army in Vietnam. He is sent to Hawaii to get his US citizenship after an erroneous story gets back to the US that he is a mercenary hired by the Army. During his ten days in Hawaii, Mac continues his misadventures but returns to Vietnam with a model 1903 rifle favored by snipers. He joins the Rangers in their LRRP operations, capturing prisoners, killing an NVA general, and kidnapping a VC tracker dog.
