Surya Prakash lives and works in Madison, Wisconsin. He has written hundreds of poems over the past 40 years. His poetry brings together two congruent elements: first, a love for nature, particularly the wind, wild horses, birds, remote areas, and seascapes; and secondly, a desire to realize the Divine in its many forms. This is his first book of poems.
From Sand, Salt & Seawater:
Knee of Alaska
when
you sleep tonight
i will be waiting
to carry your dream to the knee of Alaska
where
all of my longing
masquerades
as a child
asleep
by the sea
" There is] sweetness and longing evoked in these poems that fill the human heart when we truly love another human being."
-From the Foreword by Beth Wortzel
