Love is never blind. In order to love, you need to be open, perceptive and aware enough to see it all. Hope is blind though, and hope will take you to hell and back. Hope is a strong entity of its own. Someone can end up following hopes to the pits of hell, and unless you have followed hope there you will never question its existence.
