Building a Doctrinal Grid is a student manual of the SALT Institute (Servant Approach Leadership Training) of Woodland Park Baptist Church. SALT (originally called "Timothy School") was birthed out of a commitment to live out the Apostle Paul's charge in Ephesians 4:11 to equip the saints for the work of service. Most Christians who have been following the Lord for any length of time have a sense of what they believe about God, His Word, Christ, sin, and other important areas of the Christian life. For many, however, what they believe is shaped by what they have been taught, or what a particular passage seems to suggest, but not by what they have studied thoroughly. In this practical manual, the student is guided through a survey of relevant passages to help shape a doctrinal foundation in ten key areas of theology. Covered in this manual are the doctrines of bibliology (the Scriptures), Theology Proper (God the Father), Christology (Christ), Anthropology (humanity), hamartiology (sin), soteriology (salvation), ecclesiology (the Church), angelology (angels and demons), eschatology (end times), and pneumatology (the Holy Spirit). This study will help lay a foundation for all Bible study, and answer important questions in these key areas.
