I hear myself holding fast to the idea that everything, in the end, comes to One. This is an expression offaith in an inclusive and enabling aesthetic, to be sure, one maybe shot through with my rationalizations &delusions, but one holding to a belief in the idea of wholeness, even if wholeness is crackled & porous.I hope, my journal-despite so much of the quotidien here-will be a durational portrait that even its keeper might keep staring into to attempt to fathom his own character.from the Preface by William Heyen
