From the Foreword: This publication provides statistical information on a number of aspects of directorship practices: the size and membership of the board; the venue of meetings; the selection and tenure of directors; meetings of board committees; the age and retirement practices of directors; and benefits available to directors over and above compensation for regular board and committee service. The present study updates the 1977 report "Canadian Directorship Practices: A Profile". Comparisons between the surveys are made throughout the report.
