For my second book, "Driving With Karma: Egyptian Dreams," I leave India for a short time, and will tell you the story of the chaos I was directly in the middle of while traveling around Jordan and Egypt. The chaos I chose to put myself into. This time chaos didn't follow me, I was the one following it. I knew it was happening, and I wanted to go. So I did. As they say, if you let terrorists stop you from living your life, they have completed their mission. The news channels and media in general paint a pretty bad picture of the Middle East almost everyday. After living in Saudi Arabia, I can tell you, the media is wrong. Not to mention, this specific type of chaos was extra-special and not just in the Middle East. Not only was Egypt in the middle of a Civil War, but the "Arab Spring" was alive and well and bombs were going off all around the world. Literally. I start my trip in Petra walking through the Rose Red City and finish it by scaling the ancient pyramids of Giza by myself. A lot happened in between those two points, and it was a trip that will never be forgotten. While these events effected my outer world, they also affected my inner world. I might've been in the Middle East physically, but at many times, my mind was other places processing information in a very esoteric way. Many different topics entered my head as I made way from Jordan to Egypt (with a mental trip to Mexico) such as: religion, Yoga, connection, perception, death, judgement, consciousness, spirituality, time, fear, pride, rules/laws, synchronicity, karma, and at times just letting go and going with the flow. As Swami Rama says, "You are a citizen of two worlds, the world within and the world without. To be a successful person, you will need to understand how to build a bridge between these two worlds. Extreme views are not helpful to the world, nor are they helpful in your own life. It is best to gain control of your thoughts, sensations, emotions and urges. Control does not mean stopping
