Susan and Mike James are in their early fifties with 3 grown children when Susan becomes pregnant with twins. Joy turns to disaster when one, then the other die in the womb. They must choose between almost certain death for Susan, or abortion. As they seek information, they meet Naomi Lawrence, an 18-year-old college freshman. Naomi is alone and pregnant.
