A colony starship launched hundreds of years ago by an authoritarian regime races toward an inhabited planet. For political reasons, only a two-man courier starship is allowed to intercept it. UFN field agent Al Reed and historian Dr. Thomas Solomon must talk the Argo's pilot, Christian-right ideologue Juliet Rees, out of a landing that will create an interstellar incident.
