Review Lovers of Ferraris and fine photography will want a copy of "Racing in Color," a superb coffee-table book. --Motor Trend, August 2004 About the Author When Peter Coltrin began his automotive career in Southern California in the mid 1950s, he began to take color photographs mostly at drag races, but also at the high speed meets at Bonneville and Muroc Dry Lake. In 1954 he joined up with the well known California hot-rodder, Ak Miller, as a crew member for Miller’s second run at the Carrera Panamericana. Again, Coltrin took his camera with him. As sports car racing grew in popularity, Coltrin began to attend those early races at places like Palm Springs, Pebble Beach and Willow Springs where more unusual color photographs were taken. In 1957 Miller decided to try the Mille Miglia in Italy and Coltrin once again joined the te
