In 1930's Colorado, there is no more picturesque destination for a ski retreat than The Hotel Emerson. That is, until heavy snowfall traps the hotel's guests for three days with no access to the outside world.

With enough food and firewood to ride out the storm, the guests are determined to enjoy their trip. Until one of them turns up dead. Was it a suicide as it first appears? Or something more sinister?

Fortunately, there happens to be an ex-homicide detective among the guests. Unfortunately, he is only staying at the hotel because he has decided to drink himself to death. There are even more surprises in store for the former detective, but can he overcome his despair to solve one final case?

The Hotel Emerson will make you question everything, be suspicious of everyone, and ultimately serve as a reflection on the demons contained within us all.
