Author Description

Over 250 poems reflect the changing personal and social experiences of the poet from childhood during the first World War up to the present day. The collection brings together poems published in collections over the last sixty years, and includes uncollected poems previous to Sea Talk (1944) and new material following the publication of Pursuit (1999).
