The articles on the church and ecumenism in this <i>Festschrift</i> celebrate Professor Fahey's contributions, accomplishments and gifts to the academy and the Church. They reflect his sensitivities and spirituality as a friend and pastor, his support for the many voices in the church, his engagement and mentoring of several generations of students and scholars, his demand for honest and critical scholarship, and his deep desire for a spirit of Christian unity among us all.
