Excerpt from The Brethren Evangelist, Vol. 49: January 8, 1927 There is a law of life which requires that men shall use what they have or lose it. It is immutable and universally applicable. Whether in the world of material possessions, or mental endow ments, or Spiritual capacities and powers, what we use we keep and multiply and what. We neglect we lose. We have and keep only what we use, and the more we use the more we have. Jesus emphasized that truth when he spoke the parables of the pounds (luke -27) and the talents (matt. The law is exacting in its requirements, makes no exceptions, and is unalter able. It is true in every field of human values, is fundamental to all being, and no excuse can be offered that will free one of the inevitable consequences of inactivity. We lose what we do not use, always and everywhere; it is inescapable. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
