Ai-Girl (psychological studies, Nanyang Technological U., Singapore) reports findings from several recent studies of primary and secondary school students in Singapore. Using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, the studies explore student perceptions about a number of aspects of the classroom environment--desirable learning activities, the characteristics of a good teacher, creativity, the choral learning environment--and report on innovative strategies to elicit children's views and integrate them into learning.
