The Beast and the Salt Water Potion is a Children's story about unexpected traumatic events that happen in life. The story is based on the 2016 forest fire in Fort McMurray, Alberta. In the story "The Beast and the Salt Water Potion" the elves in the Fort are caught by surprise when a Mean Fire Breathing Beast of a Dragon breaks free. The dragon's fire spreads so quickly that the elves must leave their beloved Fort and all their belongings behind. As the dragon ravages their community it seems like all hope is lost to save the Fort until a young elf child has an idea....
