Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan and Nyai Ahmad Dahlan (Siti Walidah) are eternal exemplars of how faith, knowledge, and courage can illuminate the path of the ummah. Their dedication to education, social reform, and the empowerment of women continues to inspire the ‘Aisyiyah movement to this very day. Through their struggle and sacrifice, they established educational institutions and mobilized society with the values of Islam rahmatan lil-‘alamin—Islam as a mercy to all creation. Their vision was not limited to their own era but was meant for the future of our children and grandchildren. This book is both a reminder of the roots of our struggle and an invitation to continue the mission of justice, equality, and enlightenment.
