These guidelines are for evaluating the quality of sexual offender treatment outcome studies. A high quality study is one where there is a high degree of confidence that the effect of treatment was estimated with minimal bias. This document should be helpful for readers and reviewers of the professional literature, as well as for researchers designing new studies or evaluating existing programs. Background information can be found in The Collaborative Outcome Data Committee's Guidelines for the Evaluation of Sexual Offender Treatment Outcome Research (CODC Guidelines), Part 1, Introduction and Overview.
