Proceedings of the 12th Annual Conference on Water Distribution Systems Analysis, held in Tucson, Arizona, September 12-15, 2010. Sponsored by the Environmental and Water Resources Institute of ASCE. This collection contains 148 papers on improved methods for assuring safe drinking water for consumers during both routine operations and emergency conditions. Many papers specifically address water quality in distribution systems, including chemical and biological contaminants, discoloration, and contaminant intrusion detection and source identification. Topics include: sustainability and the environmental costs of constructing and operating distribution systems; open source WDS modeling; and the use of sensors.
