Banbury Writers’ Café Short Stories & Poems – Anthology Vol. 2. By: Various Authors This is the second anthology of short stories, flash-fiction and poems from Banbury Writers’ Café (BWC). At Banbury Writers’ Café, we all have different goals for our writing. Some of us are putting stuff out there via blogs, web-pages, Kindle, paperback, or whatever, and some of us write for well-being or purely for our own pleasure, ‘for the joy of the words’ as one of us put it. Every few meetings we set ourselves assignments. We read our work, assignments and otherwise, at the group, either looking for specific feedback on some element of it, or just for the pleasure of sharing. It became clear that the assignments were producing some good stuff. So, we thought, why not put them out there for others to enjoy. And there you have it. Or here you have it - A collection of flash-fiction, short stories and poems with wildly varying themes. Getting stuff out there from BWC is not about making money. It’s about sharing our writing. Producing these books is a good way to demonstrate to ourselves that our writing is improving – we are getting better at what we all love doing. Any feedback you have on any of our work is most welcome. We sincerely hope you get some enjoyment from these pages. Notes On ‘Adult’ Content: Most of the content of this book is written with a view to sharing with adults. Some of the pieces contain some profanity, though none are sweary for sweary's sake. Some of the themes are adult, though there are no pieces that would really shock any adult for content: we do not discourage any themes but we naturally lean towards the less horrific stuff. Hopefully you will not be offended by anything in this book.
