Josh West returned to Tennessee to bury his older brother, Nathan. Yet, his work in Texas was not done. Hired by the same man, Alexander Crompton, that had gotten his brother killed, Josh returned to west central Texas to investigate ranchers being forced off their land. Ambushed, but surviving he made it to Hank Warden’s ranch, where he meets Hank’s lovely young daughter who immediately has a crush on West. Traveling out from the Warden ranch, West discovered a woman being raped and with the help of ranch hands borrowed from Warden, they subdued the rapists, only to have discovered that the woman’s ranch has been burned and her family slaughtered.
