Among the new Confucian School in Song and Ming Dynasties, the Academics of Guanzhong Area by Zhang Zai was really a unique one. However, due to various historical reasons, his political thought is hardly understood by the descendants. This book develops the systematic and profound analysis to his political thought mainly through historical analysis, document research, theory-history combination and comparative study. The study path is mainly based on the exploration of his problem consciousness, by adding the theoretical analysis, to reveal his theoretical basis of political thought; on that basis, the book takes an in-depth look at the main systems in his political thought system, and points out that the core and essence of his political thought is the people oriented, which, to some extent, shows a kind of political trend and a type of new people-based thought among new Confucianists in Song and Ming Dynasties. Under that particular historical conditions, this extremely interesting thought certainly should draw attentions in academics.
