Author Description

This booklet is for k-12 teachers, teacher educators, and school leaders who are interested in computation thinking (CT) in subject areas outside of computer science, and those who are passionate about critical thinking and problem solving. It may be particularly helpful for English Language Arts (ELA) teachers as the integration of CT and ELA, in particular, is highlighted. The focus of the booklet is lessons from the field and personal reflections of elementary teachers about their experiences with the process of incorporating CT in ELA. This booklet also includes definitions of CT and a rationale for the benefits of integrating CT into subject areas outside of computer science.
