Scientists at Singapore's National Skin Center illustrate a spectrum of skin diseases seen in Asian people, using color photographs mostly from the Center itself. Because different skin types can present diseases differently, and because some racial and ethnic groups are more or less prone to some diseases due to skin biology or environmental or behavioral factors, the atlas could help dermatologists who treat Asians either in Asia or elsewhere in the world make a correct diagnosis.
