The purpose of this study was to assess the feasibility ofestablishing a remote data entry market price reporting systemfor livestock sales in British Columbia. Price reporting systemsin Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and the United States wereassessed to determine the relevance of their experience to theB. C. situation. The evaluation included costs (hardware, software, and operational requirements), and an assessment ofproducer and market operator perceived reporting requirements.
