
This review of mathematics is part of an ongoing program designed to monitor education in Ontario and inform the public about the performance of the educational system. This document contains the questionnaire for principals, providing a profile of schools, including location, leadership, quality of staff, and use of resources; and the questionnaire for teachers, including background, teaching methods, resources, and evaluation strategies. The student questionnaire determines attitudes toward various types of mathematics questions, classroom procedure, significance of mathematics, use of calculators, and methods of dealing with problems not at first understood. Also includes student assessment booklets 1-4 and process problems, and scoring guides for both.
