The decision made by the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade is nothing short of a disgraceful, broad, politically motivated judgment that will have life-altering and, in some cases, life-threatening effects on women and other persons who are capable of having children. In a country where a sizeable number of residents took to the streets to protest the wearing of masks and the administration of the COVID vaccine as an invasion of their right to medical privacy and freedom of choice, it is doubtful that efforts to ban abortion ultimately will be successful.
