In this volume, Keun Lee has presented a throughly documented framework for understanding not only the progress and problems of China's past reform efforts, but also the measures which must be undertaken if future initiatives are to lead to more beneficial results. The book draws from the literature of socialist enterprise models and Western agency and property rights discourse and focuses on the evaluation of reform efforts in Chinese state enterprises.
