
Significant numbers of HIV affected people have or will develop mental health problems, that often adversely impacts on their quality of care and support services. Service providers are often not aware about combating dual illness of HIV and mental health. Integrating psychiatric and psychosocial interventions in care and support services will make services more effective and acceptable to PLHIV(People Living with HIV). In this light the book has tried to explore profile of the PLHIV, their mental health problems and factors playing role behind access to services and its adherence, particulalry treatment for Opportunistic Infections and Anti Retroviral Therapy services.
