For, if it be true that the testimony of Josephus is indeed available in cor roboration of that faith, it can be so only when it -is adduced in a spirit of fearless integrity. Or, if it be not so available, those who well know on what ground they accept the Gospel as true, will see any such imagined advan tage torn away from the mass of evidence, without regret or apprehension.
