In "UNBROKEN II: From Alexander the Great and Hellenization to the Hasmoneans, Herod the Great and the Romans in the Holy Land," the author takes the reader on a guided journey of the land between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River that has been fought over more than any other real estate on earth. It covers half a millennium of the history of this territory variously described as "The Holy Land," The Promised Land," Israel, and Palestine. This challenging expedition made-simple portrays the domination of the Holy Land by four Near Eastern Empires before Alexander the Great conquered it and began the process of Hellenization that lasted three centuries before Rome made the area and the rest of the Levant a part of the growing Roman Empire, thus setting the stage for the birth and growth of the new religion known as Christianity.
