Tertullian's Apology is a passionate defense of Christianity, as well as a demand for legal toleration of Christianity in the Roman Empire. In it Tertullian addresses the unjust treatment of Christians, discusses and refutes rumors about Christians, discuses why Christians do not worship other Gods or the Roman Emperor, and gives an explanation of Christian life and practices.
