This paper tries to compare two of the major spiritual creations of human thinking, Greek culture and Christian religion. This comparison will show whether these systems blended into a new philosophical and cultural reality, the so-called Greek- Christian culture. We discuss certain key theological concepts and moral values espoused by the religious man, such as faith, repentance, prayer, miracle, providence etc. This aims at giving the reader an idea of how the man functions and conditions of thinking are shaped in order for man to become religious-minded. These are concepts unknown to the Greeks, of the classical era, who understood the world solely through human knowledge. The attributes of religious man signal the emergence of religiousness and make man absolutely depended on a mystical reality and a passion that possesses man and according to the prominent scholar of comparative religion R. Otto, leads him to an inner experience called God
