Author Description

This book is a reprint, transcript and translation of Kuji Goshin Ho Kuji for Self-Defense. Kuji means “nine seals.” It was published in 1881 based on a book by the Mountain Ascetic Gyochi (1778~1841) who was the abbot of a temple in Edo and wrote the original manuscript in 1812. Each page of the book will be reproduced, transcribed from old-style Japanese script into plain text and then translated into English with additional photographs and notes.
