Author Description

What we have here is a collection of written thoughts, ideas and opinions I have had over the years. This book is about life and the life circumstances that all human beings go through in some form or fashion. I talk about my feelings on racism, politics, religion, relationships, the beauty of the black woman, and the misunderstanding of the black man. I write about finding self through self-exploration, looking inside to see just what type of person you really are. There will be statements about the disease of addiction of which I am afflicted. Some may consider me a success story because I've been clean for 34 years. Yes, there may have been successes but there also have been failures, too. I write about my love of Africa and of being an African American male. I have been home on two separate occasions, and I have developed a deep love and affection for the continent which is my Ancestors place of birth. I have used my writings to inspire and motivate me and it was suggested that I share it with the universe, so I did. I decided to share my thoughts and my feelings with you. I have lived over six decades on this planet called earth, and in that time, I have acquired a little knowledge that I would like to share. Now, I am aware that some people may not like what I have written, and I do understand. These are my thoughts, opinions, and ideas. This is not law or divine facts. It's just my expression that I decided to put down on paper. This is not meant to attack a persons' belief system or to change the way some people think. My thought process and my belief system may be different than yours and that's okay. I realize that we are all individuals with different thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I just want to share what I discovered about me when I decided to look inside and see who I really was. It was a very spiritual and insightful experience that I would recommend to anyone.
