Year of the Shamans is a true story. Did the underground Tunnels of Tibet really exist? Or where they only within my own mind? On four separate trips to Tibet I searched for evidence of the reputed tunnel labyrinth. This book tells the events of the third trip. The old Tibet was a vast and magical place where multiple dimensions enfolded together. Sky Dancers and inner guides appeared and communicated, often in verse. These visits could be from any one of the eight species of beings in Tibet. The Tunnels, apparently, held relics of some of these unknown Earthlings and visitors from other spaces. One tradition in Tibet is of the crazy Mahasiddhis, enlightened humans living outside the boundaries of cultural norms. The Mahasiddhis, having many spiritual attributes or siddhis, are often wanton, or caper around in clown acts, or perform desperado activities. Inevitably they manifest great good through skillful means - magic. My horses are the Mahasiddhis of this story - Great beings born back as horses to mitigate and avoid the karmas of humanity. This book also describes a series of Yage trips - Ayahuasca - in preparation for Tibet. I completed this book in 1999. Maybe it is important now, 20 years later and more? However, as a monk said to me - “That’s your dream.”
