This work investigates the legend of Lilith, a mythical figure whose history and representations have evolved over the centuries. Originally, Lilith appears in Mesopotamian texts as a nocturnal demon associated with illness and misfortune. In Jewish tradition, especially in rabbinic texts and in the "Alphabet of Ben-Sira", Lilith is described as Adam's first wife, created from the same material as him, but who was expelled from the Garden of Eden for refusing to submit. The Kabbalistic tradition amplifies her figure, portraying her as a seductive and dangerous entity, linked to the world of impure forces. In the modern context, Lilith is reinterpreted by feminist movements as a symbol of independence and resistance to patriarchy, highlighting her refusal to accept subordination. In addition, Lilith is a prominent presence in popular culture, being portrayed in several works of literature, cinema and music. This work seeks to understand the multiple facets of Lilith, from her ancient roots to her contemporary reinterpretations, analyzing her role and impact as a cultural and spiritual symbol.
