Author Description

The Philosophical Pleiades was written by an unidentified author in the first half on the 18th Century. Its subtitle associates it with the Rosicrucians. It presents the alchemical work as a series of seven stages, each associated with one of the stars of the Pleiades. These seven stars or processes are named as: - The Great Tincture by the Dry Path - The Philosophical Neptune -The Philosophical Carbuncle - The Philosophical Tincture through pure Gold - The Star of the White and Red Eagle - The secret of the greater mineral of the world - The Purple Blood of Venus.
