The pyramids of Ancient Egypt are probably the most famous archaeological remains in the world. In these great tombs, splendid treasures and paintings have been found, as well as many everyday objects. Together with more recent excavations, they provide the evidence interpreted in Ancient Egypt, and are combined with vivid reconstructions to create a picture of this great civilization, from the kings in their palaces, the nobles and temple priests, to the children at school ad the farmers in their fields on the banks of the Nile.
